Accessibility
Tech Prep Solutions Inc. wants the S.H.A.R.C. Initiative website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or reduced motion.
Standard
The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Every page is checked automatically for WCAG 2.2 AA issues, in light and dark mode, each time the site changes.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the keyboard focus is always visible.
- Body text meets the AA contrast ratio against its background.
- Every image has a text description.
- Animation respects the "reduce motion" setting on your device, and no content depends on animation.
- The inquiry form works without JavaScript, labels every field, and explains any error next to the field it concerns.
- Pages fit a phone screen without sideways scrolling.
Known limitations
The downloadable flier is a PDF made from the two page images of the printed flier, so a screen reader cannot read its text. Everything the flier says is on the Programs page as text.
